Skilled Migration

If you would like to settle and work in New Zealand, and your skills are currently in demand by the New Zealand government, you may apply for a New Zealand Skilled Migration visa. Assessment will be based on your age, education, work experience, English language proficiency and links with New Zealand.

General Requirements

Aged below 55 at the time of invitation
Occupation is in demand as per New Zealand’s Long Term Skill Shortage List
Attain at least 160 points in the New Zealand Skilled Migration Points Test
Pass the relevant qualification assessment
Provide evidence of proficient English or higher (if necessary)
Meet the health and character requirements

Visa Options

Applicant who apply via the New Zealand Skilled Migration will receive either one of the following visas,
depending on whether the applicant has a job offer from a New Zealand-based company
- New Zealand Job Search Visa (valid for 12 months)
- New Zealand Residence Visa (NZRV)
